Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNO) : Traffic Authorities have decided not to allow any vehicular movement on Srinagar Jammu National Highway on Saturday in view of the inclement weather prediction issues by MET Department for the next few days. According to the news agency- Kashmir News Observer-(KNO), in a communique issued by Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police Headquarters, "On 13-03-2021, no vehicular movement shall be allowed from either side on Jammu-Srinagar NHW in view of inclement weather prediction issued by MeT department for a few days. Landslides/shooting stones at several places and continuous raining on NH-44 ." "In case the weather improves at night then the decision will be taken tomorrow after assessing the road condition," it reads. An official told KNO due to continuous rainfall in valley shooting stones and mudslides were reported on highway which were later cleared by the concerned agency. Notably, the MET department had predicted wet weather till 15 March 2021. Kashmir has received widespread rainfall while the upper reaches of the valley received fresh snowfall including famous tourist destinations Sonmarg and Gulmarg--(KNO)
